On February 26, 2020, six people lost their lives in Milwaukee when an active shooter opened fire upon his co-workers near the Molson-Coors campus.
Our hearts are wrenched with agony for the victims and their families, and we offer sincerest condolences. We also offer our condolences to everyone else affected by this event, as it seems disasters like this are becoming more common.
Traumatic events, especially in early childhood but also in adulthood, can manifest into mental issues such as PTSD and depression and is one reason why some people become homeless.
However, there is hope. If you are in distress, know that you are not alone. Your feelings are valid, and there are places to help teach you how cope. Milwaukee has hotlines set up and our executive director, Pastor James West, can offer spiritual guidance. Who knows? While seeking help, you might help someone else along the way.
Again, our sincerest condolences to everyone affected by this tragedy, and may our great city find peace once again.
