Member Incentives

Motivation is a great challenge most people face on a daily basis. We all need occasional positive reinforcement to know we are on the right track. Those wrestling with poverty and other crises often feel hopeless and helpless, exhausted in the struggle to survive. They are among those in greatest need of affirmation. One important way Repairers encourages and rewards involvement in programs and structured activities is through offering small incentives.
Right now we hope to encourage more members to participate in arts and crafts activities at our center, guided by students in the Service Learning program at Marquette University. These are fun and enriching activities, which can be incentives in and of themselves, if only members will try. With your help, we will be able to offer practical encouragement, to give someone a reason to try, a boost to make the day go better.
Most of our members are "foot bound," so they need to access services near our center or local overnight shelters. Please consider helping us with one or more of the following:
We ask that most incentive cards be limited to the $5 level. Cards valued at $10 and up will be used to reward larger accomplishments, such as the completion of a program or participation in multiple program surveys.
Incentive donations can be mailed anytime (PO Box 13791, Milwaukee, WI 53213) or dropped off (1335 W. Vliet Street) Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For more information call 414/934-9305.
Please request an in-kind contribution form for acknowledgement and tax purposes. This helps us gauge the value of your donations for annual reporting.
Thank you for being a repairer of the breach. You are sincerely appreciated, and your gift will definitely give someone a lift when it's really needed!
