Very special thanks to the Milwaukee Transit System for visiting us on July 1st, providing a delicious barbeque meal, and providing needed hygiene bags. Fun was had by all!

Every so often, our friends at Good Shepherd Parish in Menomonee Falls visit us on a Saturday to share a Bible verse and delicious lunch, along with cases of water. This last Saturday was no exception. Thank you, Good Shepherd Parish! Your visits are always welcome! If your group would like to provide lunch for our Members one day, contact Danzel at: 414-342-9323. Not only will you be helping those less fortunate, but you'll be making friends along the way! Members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Epsilon Kappa Omega Chapter visited Repairers of the Breach on May 25th, 2023 to help tend and water our Peace Garden. The garden allows Members, staff, and volunteers to release excess energy by working in the soil. It also allows a somewhat meditative experience as their minds wander while completing the tasks. It also allows a sense of wellbeing when outside in the fresh air and sunshine. The best part, however, is in fall, when the veggies and herbs are ready to be picked and cooked in our Breach Cafe! Thank you, Alpha Kappa Alpha, for working in our garden! On Saturday, April 8, Repairers of the Breach hosted Community Day, sponsored by the 4th District of Sons of Allen, which covers Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnestoa, Wisconsin, Canada, and India. Rev Davis, Pastor West, and Danzel Thomas had a blast enjoying music and handing out delicious lunches to those who needed it. Great job, gentlemen! More information on Sons of Allen can be found online. “It’s all right to tell a man to lift himself by his own bootstraps, but it is cruel jest to say to a bootless man that he ought to lift himself by his own bootstraps.” ― Martin Luther King Jr. The Alpha Kappa Alpha -Epsilon Kappa Omega Chapter continues to selflessly serve our community, and in doing so, continues to strengthen it. On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we were blessed with delicious food from them, a visit from Senator Lena Taylor, and inspirational words from Pastor West. Our sincerest thank you to all.
Special thanks to our board members, volunteers, and the Philo affiliates of Sigma Gamma Rho for making this day so special for the Members!
In the news again! That is because there are very few other places with emergency warming rooms open this year. With deadly cold on its way, it's important everyone knows we are open, but we reach our max capacity quickly, so make sure you arrive at 7 pm to get a spot.

Our emergency warming shelter is open at 32 degrees instead of 20 degrees, meaning we will be open most nights for anyone who finds themselves suddenly without shelter or on a waiting list. No one should freeze due to lack of shelter.
