Repairers of the Breach is not just a shelter on Vliet St. We are a community made of staff, Members, donors, and volunteers. Today we honor two Repairers: on 8-10-24, both Mr. Martavis McCurry and Minister Shannon generously brought delicious eats for our Members. Thank you!! Anyone who has been hungry knows just how awful the feeling is. Prolonged hunger can even affect how the mind works. That is why one of our most important programs is our Breach Cafe. When our neighbors assist our Breach Cafe with meals, like how Mr. McCurry or Minister Shannon did, or our faith-based friends or other local organizations who bring bagged lunches or prepared meals, it helps reduce our ever-rising Cafe expenses. If you, or your group, wish to donate meals, contact Tommy or Danzel at 414-342-9323 to coordinate a date, or you can specifically restrict a donation to the Breach Cafe by donating through our ROTB Store. Thank you all for being Repairers of the Breach!

As part of our "This is My Life" series, Gee Smith paid a visit to us and shared his amazing story, along with telling us about his free clinic on MLK and North. He also gave our Members free haircuts! Thank you, Mr. Smith, for being a Repairer of the Breach. |
