Programs & Services

Thanks to our generous donors, our members have access to the following programs and services that empower them to become established in the community and improve their overall quality of life.

Sanctuary – A daytime refuge offering safety, security, sobriety, and spiritual renewal
 
Living Room – A welcoming environment to reconnect with themselves and others
 
Community – A community of at-risk, homeless men and women in transition
 
Center Ownership – Previously homeless Members act as ambassadors to visitors. 
 
Breach Café – Licensed soup kitchen offering nutritious breakfast and warm mid-day meals
 
Personal Care – Showers, towels, toiletries, seasonal clothing, and footwear; regular and emergency
 
Free Clinic – Diabetes and blood pressure screening, free referrals for vision, dental care, and more
 
Communication Services – A “lifeline” offering telephone, voicemail, incoming mail, and an address for voting

Learning Center – Walk-in program for adult basic education led by the Milwaukee Achievers, a library ran by a retired librarian
 
Employment Assistance – Resume assistance, online job search, and coaching for workforce entry
 
Veterans Outreach – Weekly presence of the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative and VA medical staff
 
Art Therapy – Expression of feelings through various art forms led by Mount Mary University 
 
Emergency Overnight – “Warming room” when temperatures reach 20 degrees or below
 
Linkages – Referrals to overnight shelters and other social services
 
Sleep Support – Blankets, sleeping bags, and sleeping area for second and third-shift homeless workers
 
Alumni Support – Furniture for members who obtain permanent housing (upon availability)     
 
Bible Studies – Spiritual renewal

Barber - Free haircuts every Tuesday
